Topic: *The Blessed Marriage*

Text : 1 Corinthians 7:4

*Introduction* : it is possible to have a cursed marriage. It is possible to have a marriage that you will endure/manage.

N.B: Nobody that is sick runs away from his/her doctor. Beware of fallacy that says every sermon message is about you.

*SERMON DETAILS*
A Blessed marriage is sweet. Marriage is not meant to be endured. It is not for better ,for worst; not in sickness and in health; not suffering and smiling.
A blessed marriage begins with a well-defined purpose. It's not my thing, your thing. That is why the man and the woman are ONE.
A blessed marriage is well-defined with a clear purpose. Transparency is the watchword of a Blessed marriage and it's never ashamed of their nakedness.
A blessed marriage is a marriage where couples don't feel like when it's not working, we will change partners.

A blessed marriage is a marriage where the couples do not live together as room-mate.
When the purpose of a marriage is not well-defined, that is when the couples start living like roommate (e.g: sharing bills- rent, school fees, etc)
Roommate might be close but there is no s*xual intimacy between except there is an attraction between the roommates.

N.B: As a woman your body belongs to your husband. In as much your bride price has been paid, your body (woman) belongs to your husband.

Any man that touche(s) a woman without doing right by her(payment of bride price) is a Thief.
When couples meet(have s*x) there is a glory over/covering them.
S*x in the context of marriage is Healing...
S*x outside marriage is a Sin/curse.
Isaiah 4:5- A blessed marriage is A Name. The Name (of your husband) you must protect as a woman.

A Blessed marriage is an honour, and it takes away Reproach from the woman.
N.B: When a girl gets pregnant out of wedlock, it's not a must she gets married to the person who impregnated her. Marriage can only take place if the purpose of the union is defined. But, if purpose is not defined, the young girl is not to be forced to get married to the He-goat...
Hebrew 13:4 - For you to avoid the judgement of God, you must make amendments by;
1- Go to your pastor for counselling
2- Go to the girl's parents and pay her bride price

*Psalm 128* A blessed marriage begins with the "Fear of God".

A blessed marriage, the couples walk in the ways of God.

A blessed marriage is a Happy marriage. You will enjoy the fruit of your labour.

A blessed marriage, your source does not go dry.

A blessed marriage is marriage where it is well with the couples

A blessed marriage, your wife shall be like a fruitful vine.

A blessed marriage, your children shall be like olive plant that surrounds your table.

Marriage does not run base on transfer (No leave, No transfer)
(For some people, if marriage can be renewed like passport, some person (s) will not renew it again base on their experience in marriage)

N.B- Marriage has expiring date, and death is the expiry date...As a couple if your marriage has not expired, there is a need for renewal. If you do not renew your marriage, hunters are bound to hunt your marriage.

The success of your marriage is i your hands. Marriage is a journey of two people who decides to face life together on purpose until death do them part.
Things that does not make marriage
1.Money
2.S*x( as a lady close your legs, s*x does not keep a man)
3.Children
4.Education/Certificate
5.Flashy/Materialistic things

Things that makes marriage
1.Love ( Husband love your wife)
2.Submission ( Wives submit to your husband)
N.B- Without these two things, marriage will crashed.
Marriage is not a Contract, it is a Covenant that partners(couples) must understand the purpose.
Marriage is the same anywhere,the only difference amongst them is the blessing.

Finally, brethren;
Marriage is a divine business that transactions must go on.

Purpose is a key factor in a successful marriage (N.b- when the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable)

In a blessed marriage, there is nothing like money problem

Husband/wife, what is that thing you saw in the man/woman that attracts you. Check it. Are you still feeling it? If you are not feeling it, this calls for marriage renewal.
In a blessed marriage, you must be connected physically, spiritually, emotionally, mentally, Financially.
Don't kill yourself trying to change your husband/wife. Hand them over to God.
HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE DOES NOT HAVE CURE...... BEWARE.
A BLESSED MARRIAGE IS ONE LIFE.

*Marriage is a form of trade. Be mindful of how you display it to others.*

Understanding is the driving force of marriage.

There are no “fake men” or “fake women

_Proverbs 22:1_ —
“A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches.

*1. Marriage Is Your First Business*
Marriage is a business that doesn’t need buyers — it’s between two couples

Your marriage is your business. Make it work.

In fact, the first business God calls you to is your marriage.

*2. Your Children Are Your First Customers*

The first customers God gives you are your children.
The reward of your business is your children. They are specially selected and skillful customers.

A good man leaves an inheritance for his children. So save and invest for your children.

*3. Marriage Thrives on Management*
Your marriage will work depending on how you manage it.

When you have a good business partner, you won’t fear sharing your secrets.

Your business partners are your husband and wife.

Your character determines the kind of “product” your marriage produces.

Your children character represent your past, your present, or your future.

In the business of marriage, you must be intelligent for prosperity to manifest.

*4. Keys to Managing Your Marriage Business*
- *Intimacy*: S*x is a booster in marriage, if done according to biblical principles.

- *Spiritual Intelligence*: If the marriage isn’t working, you need spiritual intelligence.

*Knowledge*: Knowledge helps you understand your spouse’s temperament.

Understanding their temperament helps you manage them better.

- *Provision*: As a man, do everything within your power to provide for your family. Don’t let your wife be pressured into providing, or desperation may lead her astray.

- *Privacy*: Don’t introduce your marriage to everyone. Remember, marriage thrives on privacy.

Protect your marriage data. Turn off your “hotspot” when not in use to prevent unauthorized access.

*5. The Kind of Spouse You Need*
You need a _transparent_ spouse, not a “wooden door” spouse.

If you can see through your spouse, you can pass through.
Only a transparent husband and wife can do great things.

On the ground of transparency, favor comes.

Run away from “baby” wives and husbands. Baby spouses are premature — they cry like babies.

If you see a boy-husband, help him grow.

Be careful who you marry. Don’t marry solely for beauty.

If you can’t handle your spouse’s beauty, you’ll be in trouble.

Your spouse is a market, but only _you_ are permitted to trade.

Many “customers” will make advances to your spouse—please hold yours well, to avoid the story that touches the heart

*6. Wisdom for Couples*
- Men are moved by what they see and hear.
- Anytime you see your wife dressed odd caution her with love.
- Beware of “end-time packaging”
- deception that looks good but destroys.
- There’s no perfect marriage. Make yours work.
