We had our first meeting with the amazing girls set to benefit from our JAMB Fee Support Project for girls in Ojuwo Igah and it was powerful, emotional, and full of hope.

It was a space to listen, encourage, and remind these girls that higher education is possible and that they are not alone on this journey. We talked about JAMB, their dreams, their fears, and what the future could look like when they keep showing up for themselves.

For many of them, this is the first time someone is saying, “We believe in you.”

And we do. 💙

This is just the beginning. We’re excited to walk this journey with them, one step at a time.

At EMTAG Foundation, we believe a girl’s dream should never end because of an exam fee.

We’re launching a new initiative to pay the JAMB registration fees for girls from Ojuwo Igah, Kogi State, so they can take the next step toward higher education without financial barriers.

For many girls in rural communities, JAMB is the gateway to university — but also a hurdle they can’t cross alone. This project is about access, opportunity, and hope. It’s about telling these girls: your dreams are valid, and you deserve a chance.

📚 What we’re doing:
✔ Paying JAMB fees
✔ Supporting registration and preparation
✔ Encouraging families to keep girls in school

💙 You can be part of this impact.
Sponsor a girl. Volunteer. Share. Support.

Together, we can change one life — and a whole community — at a time.

…………….

The Girls Initiative for Future Transformation Scholarship (GIFTS) Project by EMTAG Foundation was launched to empower underserved girls in the Ogbogba community, Kogi State. It started in January 2024 and focuses on providing scholarships, and mentorship to help girls access quality education. The project is built on promoting gender equality and tackling barriers that prevent girls from continuing their education.

After months of planning, and stakeholder engagement, we happy to announce that the scholarships were awarded last week.

18 girls from the senior secondary category, 6 from the junior secondary category, and 2 from the primary school category received their tuition fees for the upcoming term. An exceptional male applicant from the primary school category brought the total number of beneficiaries to 27.

The initiative also includes mentorship programs and community awareness efforts aimed at promoting the importance of educating girls, aligning with EMTAG’s mission to foster educational empowerment and community development.

We thank all our volunteers and supporters for their relentless effort that brought this project to a reality.

Stay tuned, as we will be sharing more photos from the event.
