Telegram calls it privacy. We call it a cover for impunity 🚫

We have noticed that the platform has become a marketplace used to falsely obtain intimate media non-consensually, buy and sell them, as well as blackmail, and abuse vulnerable persons.

A recent investigation by has also exposed how Telegram is being used to facilitate networks that recruit, traffic, and exploit vulnerable women across several states in Nigeria.

These findings reveal a systemic failure of platform governance and underscore the urgent need for accountability.

We have now filed a Fundamental Rights Enforcement Action before the Federal High Court of Nigeria, challenging Telegram's content moderation failures and their impact on the rights of vulnerable persons.
