Following the successful completion of the INTEGRATE Project implementation in Bama Local Government Area, a formal handover of essential drugs, medicines, and medical consumables was conducted on May 8, 2026, at the Skin Clinic, Bama LGA. The handover exercise was aimed at ensuring continuity of healthcare service delivery within the supported health facilities and strengthening the capacity of the Primary Health Care (PHC) system in Bama LGA.

The commodities handed over consisted of various essential medicines and consumables, and medical equipment procured and utilized under the project to support healthcare services for vulnerable populations, including women, children, and other community members accessing healthcare services in the LGA.

Mallam Fantaru received the items on behalf of the Director PHC, assured that the medicines, consumables, and medical equipment would be properly managed and utilized to improve access to quality healthcare services for the people of Bama LGA.

AHI LGA Team Lead, Pamela Alkali, appreciated the collaboration and support received from the PHC department and health facility staff during the implementation of the project. She encouraged continued commitment toward sustaining the gains achieved under the INTEGRATE Project.

Today, we commemorated the International Day of the Boy Child with 33 boys from secondary schools in the Jibowu-Fadeyi axis at the AHI Youth Centre in Lagos. Our theme was “Positive Masculinity: Boys Promoting Gender Equality,” and we encouraged the boys to update their understanding of what it means to be male in society today.

The Programme featured a presentation by our Resident Doctor for the month, Dr. Andrew Agbeje, as well as interactive sessions anchored by our male Youth Ambassadors, Amid, Ibrahim, and Japheth. The boys responded to scenarios where they could put the traits of positive masculinity into practice and challenged myths of what it means to be male.

The event ended with the boys defining what a positive man is by listing the qualities that they felt were most important and committing to demonstrating positive masculinity.
