What Is Stress?
Stress is the way the body responds to pressure, demands, or threats. Stress is a normal part of life.

๐“๐ฒ๐ฉ๐ž๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐’๐ญ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ
1. Physical Stress
This type of stress is usually obvious. It may be work-related, such as:
Long working hours
Physical exhaustion
Lack of rest
2. Mental Stress
This is very common but often difficult to recognise. It may include:
Financial pressure
Debt
Financial insecurity
Excessive worrying
3. Behavioural Stress
This occurs when a person keeps acting in a certain way to achieve a result, but the expected outcome is not forthcoming. Repeated effort without results can lead to behavioural stress.
Example: Mary and Martha.
4. Emotional Stress
This is one of the toughest forms of stress and can be difficult to diagnose because it is connected to emotional issues, thoughts, and feelings.
It is influenced by:
How you think, and what you think.

๐‡๐จ๐ฐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐Œ๐š๐ง๐š๐ ๐ž ๐’๐ญ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ
1. Deep Breathing
Practice slow and deliberate breathing:
Inhale deeply
Exhale slowly
This helps to calm the mind and body.
2. Exercise
Regular physical activity helps to reduce stress and anxiety.
3. Meditation on Godโ€™s Word
Constant meditation on Godโ€™s promises concerning your life, family, and business can help manage stress.

Examples:
โ€œIt is not by power nor by might, but by My Spirit,โ€ says the Lord.
โ€œEven though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.โ€
โ€œCast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.โ€
โ€œBe anxious for nothing.โ€

Example: The king could not sleep โ€” this was mental stress.

4. Listen to Soft or Inspiring Music
Good and uplifting music can help reduce stress.
โ€œA merry heart is good medicine.โ€
Reference: Book of Proverbs 17:22.
5. Get Enough Sleep
Aim for at least 7โ€“9 hours of sleep daily.
6. Take a Break
Rest when necessary. Go on vacation or retreat occasionally.
โ€œYou can come to the mountain.โ€
7. Read Books
Develop the habit of reading uplifting and informative books.
8. Seek Counseling
Do not hesitate to seek godly counsel and guidance when necessary.
