400 tonnes of sugar moved in six months across Nigeria.
Behind that number are manufacturers producing at scale, supply chains staying active, and markets receiving the inputs they depend on.
Trade is not just measured by transactions. It's measured by movement.
Every tonne delivered represents production enabled, demand met, and businesses kept in motion.
This is what Matta powers — the infrastructure behind industrial trade.

400,000 kilograms of sweetness.
That's the volume of sugar that moved through the Matta ecosystem in recent months, supporting manufacturers across food, beverage, and consumer goods value chains.
Every ton represents production enabled, orders fulfilled, and supply chains working as they should.
This is what Matta powers.

Yesterday at Invest Lagos 3.0, the Commonwealth Secretary-General, Hon. Shirley Botchwey, shared a vision for Africa's future that closely mirrors what we are building across the Matterverse.
"The future of African investment will not be built country by country alone. It will be built through regional markets, cross-border infrastructure, digital payments, logistics corridors, common standards and stronger value chains."
This is more than an investment thesis.
It is a blueprint for how Africa scales.
At Matta, we believe the next chapter of African growth will be driven by connected ecosystems, not isolated markets. That belief is what powers the Matterverse.
A manufacturer in Lagos should be able to access raw materials from global suppliers, secure financing, move goods across borders, and make data-backed decisions without navigating fragmented systems.
That is why we are building:
• mattamarketplace to connect buyers and suppliers across Africa's industrial value chains.
• fluxbymatta to power the movement of goods through reliable logistics and fulfilment infrastructure.
• Our Financial layers to simplify trade finance, payments, and access to working capital.
• orbitalbymatta_ to provide the market intelligence, visibility, and insights businesses need to make better procurement and trade decisions.
Together, these platforms address a fundamental challenge facing African commerce: fragmentation.
Because stronger value chains are not built by ambition alone. They are built through infrastructure, data, finance, logistics, and trusted networks working together.
A more connected Africa is a more investable Africa.
And every day, across the Mattaverse, we are helping build the systems that make that future possible.

We count a lot of things at Matta.
Tonnes moved.
Litres supplied.
RFQs processed.
Transactions completed.
But what exactly counts? And just as importantly, what doesn't?
Today, we've published a methodology that explains how we measure activity across the Matta ecosystem, the standards behind our reporting, and the principles that guide every number we share.
Because trust is built when data is transparent.

3 countries. 97 RFQs. One week.
For years, conversations around African trade have focused on potential.
What we're seeing now is something different: ex*****on.
This week alone, industrial buyers across 11 countries actively sourced through Matta, generating 97 RFQs across key manufacturing categories. Sugar accounted for 63% of the total volume, reflecting the scale at which demand is moving.
More importantly, we're seeing a shift in behaviour.
Businesses are no longer just exploring options or benchmarking prices. They're securing supply. Two multi-year forward commitments were recorded this week, signalling growing confidence in structured procurement and long-term sourcing relationships.
The signal is becoming harder to ignore.
The category leaders aren't just watching the market evolve.
They're sourcing through it.
The trade is moving.
Quietly. At scale.

We’re excited to see Matta featured in the news as conversations around Africa’s industrial future continue to evolve.
In a recent feature by Nairametrics, the spotlight was placed on the growing shift toward digitally coordinated supply chain infrastructure across African manufacturing and trade.
The article highlights how manufacturers across the continent are increasingly prioritizing operational visibility, supplier coordination, logistics efficiency, and reliable cross-border trade systems, all areas we’ve spent years quietly building infrastructure around.
Over the last year, trade flows coordinated through Matta’s infrastructure have included:
• 2.2 million litres of base oil
• 800 tonnes of food ingredients
• 465 tonnes of calcium propionate
• 350 tonnes of sugar moved within six months
As African manufacturing scales, the future of industrial trade will depend on infrastructure that enables coordination, trust, speed, and continuity across markets.
We’re proud to be part of that future.

The volume is visible.
The system behind it is what matters.
Every RFQ, supplier response, and cross-border transaction depends on infrastructure that can organize demand, connect verified supply, and support trade at scale.
Behind the numbers is a connected ecosystem making industrial sourcing more structured, discoverable, and executable across markets.
This is the system behind the volume.
This is what Matta powers.
