The Shaik Siddiqi are a Muslim community across northern and central India, often shaped by a strong sense of religious heritage and family honor. Life revolves around faith, community belonging, and maintaining respect within tightly connected social networks.

Many are hardworking and ambitious — building lives through trade, business, transport, and skilled work — yet identity is deeply tied to religious belonging and community acceptance.

What Makes Them Unique?

They carry a strong sense of spiritual certainty and identity security through religion and family lineage. Faith is not just belief, it is belonging, reputation, and inheritance.

Why They Need the Gospel?

Because behind the strength of identity is a quiet weight: “Am I truly accepted by God, or just by my community?”
The gospel speaks directly to this, offering assurance that acceptance before God is not earned, inherited, or maintained by performance, but given through Christ.

Barriers to the Gospel

Why Pray for the Unreached?

Unreached people groups are communities with little or no access to the gospel and few believers among them. Many have never had the opportunity to hear about Jesus in a way they can understand and respond to.

Prayer is one of the most powerful ways God invites us to participate in His mission of reconciliation. As we pray, God opens hearts, raises workers, creates opportunities for the gospel, and strengthens believers serving among these communities.

Today we invite you to pray for three unreached people groups in India: the Shaik Siddiqi, the Shaikh, and the Sonar.
