I grew up with “maids” in our home, many of whom grew up and got married from our home.

I don’t think there was a salary system then but my parents would train them in school, buy them cloths and essentially treat them as family.

Some of them still have relationships with my siblings and I many years after we parted ways and even lost our parents.

One saw me recently and hugged me so tightly that I felt like the child she once took care of 🤣

My question is?

Why do we not have such domestic staff relationships today? If it exits, it’s rare.

What we have now are people looking for domestic staff jobs who really don’t care about the homes they are deployed to.

Like in my head, I see this as an opportunity to get into the same room with your destiny helper but this generation don’t think far…

My father’s drivers lived with us till we grew up. Most of them were staff in his business.

Today, we have drivers and domestic staff who can’t keep a job for 6 months.

My vision is to reorientate them but it’s difficult.

All most of them think about is their belly.

They fight the ones who help them…

They always think someone is out to victimize them…

My biggest challenge in running Pukena is this mindset.

What do you think we should do to return the domestic staff culture of the olden days

Your opinion is appreciated
