MUST MARRIAGE LEAD TO DEATH?
presently, the rate at which married couples kill themselves is becoming frightening. Why should a journey that started with drumming and dancing lead to violence and untimely death? Why should '''I love you''' degenerate to '''I will kill yoi'''? How can husband or wife become abusive, violent, destructive and untamed? Why is it that, ''' you may now kiss the bride''' is fast becoming ''' you may now kill the bride'''? Is there any reason for divorce at all from any religion point of view especially when death is looming?
These are serious questions begging for sincere answers. These are serious issues from which we must not shy away. We must look critically and sincerely to the knotty issues relating to violence, abuse and divorce in marriage among our Brothers and sisters going into marriage or presently in union of marriage.
In today's world, marriage is fast losing its relevance: marriage is fast becoming a burden rather than blessings. Great lives and destinies are being ruined because of wrong marriages. Many people are suffering in silence ( especially women) as a result of failed marriages.
There is actually nothing wrong with marriage; all the troubles are with the people going into marriage. The youths of today, including religious ones, are ill-informed about marriage; they enter the institution carelessly and senselessly.
