Having only a centrifuge and a microbial incubator is not sufficient to claim that you can perform comprehensive stability testing for cosmetics. While these are critical components for assessing emulsion stability and microbial safety, a complete stability testing protocol requires broader equipment, environmental controls, and, most importantly, long-term data collection.
Your centrifuge will help you test the physical stability of emulsions (creams/lotions) by simulating accelerated ageing . It helps identify creaming or phase separation.
Your microbial incubator is used for accelerated microbial challenge tests, allowing you to incubate samples to check if the preservative system works.
In summary, your equipment allows for preliminary, in-house, and quick testing to see if a formula is grossly unstable. It does not provide sufficient data to guarantee the 2-year shelf life required for commercial products.
