I’ve learned that how you show up determines how people receive you. When I auditioned for the Head of Makeup at TVC, I didn’t just show up with skill I showed up with intention. I borrowed a more professional three-layer box from Tolu of Tint and when I resumed, I sought to be gifted clothes from friends so I could look like the version of me I was becoming. I dressed like I was resuming in a bank even though I was a makeup artist because I refused to be treated casually. Sometimes, the shift you want in your income starts with a shift in your appearance. Here’s what I learned: ✨️People treat you based on what you project. ✨️Dressing well is a strategy, not vanity. ✨️You don’t need a big budget use what you have, ask for help, mix and match. ✨️Excellence has a look. Show it before you “become” it. ✨️Packaging and competence must walk together. Your look is a seed. Plant it wisely. Keep growing. 🌱✨ 17/11/2025
