Things are really happening in Nigeria… and this is why we must stay security conscious at all times.

Yesterday evening, I heard a story that shook me deeply. It left me restless and praying for my life and everyone connected to me.

A family — husband, wife, and their three children — were traveling to Ibadan. On the way, they saw a woman who looked pregnant, stranded and helpless. Out of kindness, they stopped and gave her a lift.

Somewhere along a lonely stretch of the Ibadan expressway, the woman asked them to stop so she could ease herself. They didn’t suspect anything… they stopped.

Before they knew what was happening, three armed men emerged from the bush and surrounded the car.

Then came the most heartbreaking demand…

They told the couple to give them one of their children.

The parents begged. They offered money. They promised anything — just spare their children.

But the men refused.

They said they didn’t want money… they wanted a child.

After threats, fear, and helplessness… the unthinkable happened. The couple released their last child to them, hoping somehow they could still get help and rescue the child.

But by the time they returned…

Their child was gone.

Lifeless.

Mutilated.

I wept.

I wept for this country.

I wept for humanity.

And I prayed… “God, please… never let me be in a situation where I have to choose between my children.”

Please, let’s be careful. Not every situation requires kindness without caution. Not everyone we help has good intentions.

May God protect us, our families, and our children. 🙏
