Street 1 is Christiana Essien Igbokwe Street. Street 2 is Lemmy Jackson. Street 10 is named after football legend, Vincent Enyeama, Street 16 is Cardinal Ekanem Street, Street 9 is Nathaniel Bassey Street, street 12 is Samuel Peter Street while street 11 is Mandators Street.

Victor Essiet of The Mandators, held sway in the Nigerian Reggae music scene between the early 1980’s through to the 1990’s. With back-to-back hits such as “Rat Race”, “Apartheid” and “System”, Essiet and his late wife, Peggy, toured the world propagating their brand of Reggae music. He influenced the likes of Majek Fashek (then a guitarist in the Mandators Band), Lucky Dube and Ras Kimono while also putting Nigeria on the world map with his brand of reggae music. Akwa Ibom State celebrates him.
