Someone had to force me out of bed this morning to step out for some breakfast.

My tired was very tired. Who decides to go to Nigeria for vacation ? Daisy! Knowing full well that i have a thousand and one projects to run I decided to embark on this self deceptive venture 🤣.

I know i am not resting but i am definitely getting some fulfilment pursuing my passions. I will plan another vacation. I promise.

Yesterday , I spoke on ‘Parenting a child with Special Needs’ at the Motherhood Summit organised by and .
I highlighted the need to have a full understanding of the child’s needs, work with professionals , carry other member of the family especially spouses and siblings along as well as prioritize self care as a special needs parent among others.
I explained that it important to believe in and work with the you have rather than the child you think you show have. Every child is unique and will thrive differently and our job as parents is to build on their unique differences and tap into their strengths and interests and while there will also always be a grieving processpull through that and get to work on your child.
Due to issues with logistic, a pre recorded session was played and thereafter my team from joined the panel and responded to questions from the audience.
Again, I am humbled at the highly competent team of therapists that i have trained and nurtured through the years expeciallly Mrs Promise who represented me and led the team. I am proud of you and you know it!

From feedback i have continued to receive, it was a truly remarkable event and everyone went home with several life lessons. I can’t wait to be a part of next year’s event. Thank you . You are a gift to womankind.
