Diary of a chicken seller (God Did Not Ask You to Neglect Your Family to Serve Him)

One of the most painful contradictions in modern Christianity is watching a believer pour themselves out entirely for the church while their own household crumbles in silence. It is happening everywhere and it must be addressed honestly.

Many people accepted this faith and, with genuine zeal, began practising it upside down. They assumed that serving God meant leaving everything else behind, including the very people God placed directly in their care. But this is not what Scripture teaches. This is a misunderstanding that has cost too many families their peace, their unity, and their future.

Do you not remember the bold declaration in Joshua 24:15 "As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord"? Notice the language. Joshua did not say, "As for me alone." He drew his family into the covenant. He made his household a participant in his walk with God not a casualty of it.

Actively involving your household in your service to God is not just a good idea it is a biblical mandate. When you bring your family into what God has called you to do, you pass down something money cannot buy: the knowledge of how to serve, how to pray, how to trust, and how to communicate with Almighty God. You are raising a generation that does not just hear about faith but lives it daily.

Neglecting your spouse, abandoning your children, or ignoring your home in the name of ministry is not sacrifice it is disorder. God is not glorified in a broken household. He is glorified when your family stands together, worships together, and builds together.
