even this too shall pass

my idiocy is out of respect
for myself
for the days I presum'd myself to be wise
I have learn nothing new,
and the days never stoped to acknowledged
my foolery,
I made a scene, just to be notice,
yet, the sea never goes dry, nor
does the mountain becomes
a shallow ground,
the night remains ever lost to the dark
and the days keeps coming back
for my acts,
I must have made art trying to get by,
here's me going out with a bang.

my memory is bad, thus I need the scar

by the pool, my eyes caught yours,
we got closer and your hands recognized
the terrain on mine,
at the park, laughter was like oxygen,
felt right,
I didn't want the roller coaster to end,
fear looks good on you,.
one certain night, it never gets dark
for
the lights on your eyes
illuminate my heart, and all I could see
was you,
we made so many promises,
kept a bunch of them,
we must have lost count,
to have missed the most important one,
I remember clearly our first kiss
you were shy & I
was careful, when I should have been bold
and hold it long,
longer than time, maybe then, I wouldn't need
the blemish of a scar to remind me about you,
my forgetfulness isn't amnesia, the diagnosis
is got a new name, they call it scarnesia.

i laid bare.
searching through memories
what a good place

to hide.
to kiss a flower, pat a fruit
tread elevatingly over

the field.
there's a giant ant making it
way home & another

family of hundreds
i see them, bare witbout bone
and i could have become

a murderer,
had i stepped on the field
wihtout hope
