Have you ever watched the olympics? If you have, you’ll notice a sharp contrast between the running style of those in the 100 meter race and those doing the cross country race. While the 100meters contestants take flight from the first second, the cross country guys walk.

Why? Because you can’t run at full speed for hours! It’s a MARATHON, not a sprint.

That’s the mindset you should carry with you on your fitness journey. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.

Take it easy. There’s nothing like slow progress. Progress is progress! Just be consistent and kind to yourself.

It’s a long game and this is how to win it!💪🏾

We are here for you.💚

Obesity is having excessive body fat, and this often results from taking in more calories than you burn by exercise and normal daily activities.

Obesity occurs when a person’s body mass index (BMI) is 30 or greater, which means a slim person can be obese.

BMI is a measurement of one’s weight with respect to his or her height. It is calculated by dividing one’s weight in kg by a square of one’s height in metres. I.e kg/m².

The healthy range is 18.5-24.9. Below 18.5 is considered underweight and above 25.0 is overweight, while above 30.0 is obesity.

Obesity can’t be diagnosed by merely looking at a person. You have to calculate your BMI to be sure.

The mainstay of treatment is lifestyle changes such as diet and exercise.
