I join many Christians all over Africa in praying for the repose soul of Rev Dr Uma Ukpai. Since I heard of his transition to glory yesterday, the song he sang in one of his religious events keeps resounding in my mind: "Onyenwem ana m ekele gi o, onum juru n'ekele...". May God be Merciful to him, receive his soul and console his family and friends.

Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
