Example 1
factorize X²+6x+5
Soln: x²+6x+5
= product(p) is x²×5 =5x², sum(s) is +6x, factor(f)=+2xand +3x{ factor implies the product of factors of 6 if you add or subtract to give you 5}
=x²+2x+3x+6
=(x²+2x)(x+6)
Collect like terms from each bracket
=x(x+2)+3(x+2)
=(x+2)(x+3)
