The President of the 14th Transport Students’ Association (TRASA-LASU), Comr. Enyichukwu Divine, hosted the maiden edition of the TRASA Medical Outreach (Pad Up a Lady) on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the Transport Compound, LASU, Ojo Campus.
The outreach, organized to promote health awareness and provide free medical support for students and members of the university community was beyond consultations and health checks.
The initiative also focused on menstrual hygiene advocacy through the distribution of sanitary pads to female students, reinforcing the association’s commitment to student welfare and community impact.
Among the notable personalities present were faculty representatives, student leaders, volunteers, and healthcare personnel, all of whom commended the initiative for addressing critical health concerns within the student community.
In his remarks, the TRASA-LASU President emphasized the importance of prioritizing health while balancing academic and leadership responsibilities.
The event featured free medical consultations, blood pressure and sugar level checks, health talks, drug distribution, and the “Pad Up a Lady” campaign, where sanitary pads were distributed to female students.
One of the major takeaways from the event was the emphasis speakers laid, encouraging students to cultivate healthier lifestyles, seek timely medical attention, and break the stigma surrounding conversations about menstrual health and personal care.
The outreach concluded successfully with appreciation extended to the medical team, volunteers, sponsors, and all participants who contributed to making the initiative impactful.
