GOLD L4 – 20 Days to Go!
About 27 years ago on August 19, 1998, I wrote my final paper of the final examination for final year students of the department of Electrical/Electronic Engineering of the premier University of Technology in Nigeria - The Great FUTO.
Needless to say, that we took a lot of photographs. Why so? Well, August 19, 1998, was the 159th anniversary of World Photography Day.
20 days from today, come August 19, 2025, following in the rich tradition established by Prof. Emeka Osuji, Dr. Fatumata Soukouna Coker, and Prof. Ndubuisi Ekekwe, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Keynote Speakers respectively of the previous editions of The Augustine Elochukwu Okeke (AEO) Foundation’s Gilbert Onyemaelu Leadership and Diversity (GOLD) lecture series, the erudite Prof. Olayinka David-West – Dean, Lagos Business School – will deliver the Keynote Speech for the 4th GOLD lecture (GOLD L4)/Stakeholder forum, under the distinguished Chairmanship of Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed, PhD., FSAN – Founder/Chancellor, Baze University; VP candidate LP, 2023 presidential election - with Dr. Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi – DG NiTDA – as the Guest of Honour.
20 days from today, come August 19, 2025 at the 4th GOLD lecture, which will be the 189th anniversary of World Photography Day, and exactly 27 years after I dropped my pen, for the last time as an undergraduate student in FUTO, prominent stakeholders from diverse backgrounds will convene – strictly on invitation - for a buffet of intellectual delicacies - and we will take a lot of photographs.
Yours truly,
Engr. Augustine Elochuwu Okeke, Founder/Chairman, AEO Foundation
