Is there a part you missed at #AWLCGHANA2017? 04/04/2017

It was an eventful three days. It began with a by the pool side of M Plaza Hotel, Accra.
Just when we were still basking in the awesomeness of the night-before, the 30th March greeted us with a more thrilling event. We were welcomed by 10 African Countries in their native dances.
The First Lady of Ghana, Her Excellency Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo was present, and reminded us of what true leadership meant during her keynote address.
In her words "Leaders must convince, influence, persuade, and most importantly, act." The presence of the First Lady and the Second Lady of Ghana; Mrs. Samira Bawumia at this event, was also one of the rarest.
The Founder, Hon. Elisha Attai in his founder's speech took his time to explain that AWLO's 9th edition of African Women in Leadership Conference being held in Ghana, meant coming back to where AWLO started 9 years back with the West African Women in Leadership Conference, now African Women in Leadership Organisation.
Our line up of speakers very passionately did justice to their topics. From Fatima Alimohamed's personal Branding insights, to Mrs. Dayo Keshi's simplified breakdown of who is 'A Woman Enough', Agnes Essah's Authenticity session, and Alaa El-Halwagy's self-development and Emotional Intelligence workshop. Overall all very eye-opening.
The female and male panelists, were the icing on the cake for this event. Sharing profound personal experiences on their respective topics. The men delved into Equality amongst men and women and arrived at this; that there was no need of comparing men and women, but instead create a harmonious environment where each thrived on their individual abilities.
The women also delved into whether a woman was just a pretty face, and concluded that women were more than that. They got substance more importantly.
The Gala night was an evening of honors with the Founder of AWLO, Hon. Elisha Attai, being honored with the Gentleman award, and the First Lady of Ghana; Her Excellency Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo, and Deputy Governor of Rivers State Nigeria; Dr. Ipalibo Harry-Banigo, being honored with 'The Woman of Worth' Awards.
AWLO official report for the first quarter was read by Dr. Violet Arene, AWLO Global Youth Matron, and BOT Member revealed remarkable progress in the organization, with new chapters established in Uganda, Botswana, Cross River State, Plateau State, Imo State Nigeria, and other regions.
The communique was also read by the AWLO Secretary General, Bar. Emem Daniel. Kindly find communique here: https://awlo.org/communique-issued-by-the-african-women-in-leadership-organization-awlo-at-the-close-of-her-9th-regional-conference-held-from-the-29th-march-1st-april-2017-at-the-m-plaza-hotel-accra-gha/
Word on the street right now is that The African Women in Leadership Conference 2017, held in Ghana is the best one yet.
Welldone to the Ghana team: Ghana VP Mrs. Becky Aoud, The Director of Conferences; Mrs. Edith Uyovbukerhi, and all the AWLO Ghana team members.
