If I had to start my VA career all over again, no connections, no portfolio, no client history, I would choose Virtual Assistant again.

But not the kind that does everything for everyone and charges ₦5,000 a month. The kind that solves one specific problem for one specific client, and charges what that problem is actually worth.

Here's exactly what I'd do:

1️⃣ Find my lane
- Research what VA services are in demand right now
- Pick one specific offer the market is already paying for
- Learn the tools to deliver that one thing exceptionally well

One skill. One offer. Full focus.

2️⃣ Build proof
- Build a portfolio before landing a single client
- Use free tools; Notion, Canva, Google Drive
- Show what I can do before anyone pays me to do it

My portfolio isn't a record of who hired me. It's proof of what I'm capable of.

3️⃣ Go get the client
- Identify exactly who needs what I've built
- Stop applying. Start pitching directly to those people
- Do this every day for 60 to 90 days without stopping

This is where most people quit. Not because it stops working, because the discomfort of showing up daily feels like failure before it becomes success.

The goal: $0 to $1,000 in 90 days.
No degree. No experience. No connections.
Just a clear offer, 90 days of discipline, and the refusal to quit.

You should try it 😉

People don't fail because they are lazy. They are failing because nobody showed them what learning a skill actually looks like. So they watch tutorials and call it practice. They switch skills every month and call it exploration. They wait until they feel ready and call it preparation.

None of that is building anything.

The skill is not the problem. The approach is.
