Drapes. Backdrops. Columns. Walls.
They’re not just decoration, they’re architecture.
Vertical elements define how we feel in a space:
- Tall drapes = grandeur and majesty
- Low dividers = intimacy and comfort
- Layered backdrops = strength and presence
When you design an event, ask yourself: What are my vertical elements saying?
Because these features don’t just fill a room, they shape the experience.
In every event space, the floor is more than a surface, it’s the foundation of experience.
In architecture, we call it the horizontal element, the plane that defines how we move, gather, and interact.
With a simple shift in texture, tone, or height, we can completely transform a space:
✨ A patterned rug can define a lounge zone.
✨ A raised floor becomes a stage and instantly creates hierarchy and focus.
✨ A striped carpet can elongate a small room.
When you design events, always ask:
➡️ What story is the floor telling?
➡️ Does it guide, connect, or celebrate?
Because in the architecture of event spaces, design starts long before the décor, it starts with how we define space itself.
