Asthma also called "bronchial asthma."
is a long-term disease of the lungs, it causes your airways to get inflammed and narrow, which makes it hard to breathe, asthma can be minor or interfere with daily activities, it also can lead to a life-threatening attack.
A person with asthma may experience:
• Increased mucus production
• Coughing, especially at night or in the morning
• Severe wheezing, a whistling sound when breathing both in and out.
• Shortness of breath
• Tightness, pain, or pressure in your chest
• Trouble sleeping because of breathing problems
• Very rapid breathing
• Tightened neck and chest muscles, called retractions
• Difficulty talking
• Feelings of anxiety or panic
• Pale, sweaty face
• Blue lips or fingernails
