Haas Looks to Fix Aero Issues with Fast-Tracked Floor Update
Haas is rolling the dice in Japan, rushing a critical floor update to Suzuka in a desperate bid to fix the high-speed aero instability that crippled them in Melbourne. With no time for full wind tunnel testing, team boss Ayao Komatsu admits the change is a gamble, one that could make all the difference or none at all. “We had to bring something, we couldn’t just show up and hope,” he said, emphasizing that FP1 will reveal whether the fix works or if Haas is in for another brutal weekend.
Their strong showing in China masked the VF-25’s issues thanks to a smoother track, but Suzuka’s high-speed corners will expose whether Haas has truly made progress or if their bouncing nightmare continues. “We had to shortcut the process,” Komatsu admitted, knowing the risks of such a rushed upgrade.
This weekend, it’s all or nothing. Haas is fighting to stay in the midfield hunt, but will this update be their saving grace or another setback?
FP1 will have the answers.
