We are calling all Women, Feminists, Activists and Allies to join us in spreading awareness about Femicide and also March to the Lagos state House of Assembly to present a bill on Femicide to the legislators.
Femicide is a distinct form of Gender Based Violence. It is the intentional killing of a woman
, by a man because of her gender and it is Usually perpetrated by intimate partner or family members.
Because Nigeria Law does not legally recognize Femicide, many acts of gender related killings of women and girls are misruled as ritualistic killing or organ harvesting.
In both the Violence against persons prohibition act and the Lagos state Law on protection against domestic violence, there’s no mention of Femicide which is death of a woman characterized by a history of domestic violence or sexual abuse.
Examples also include women who died in pregnancy/ post delivery when there was history of abuse during pregnancy, killings occurring in situations of trafficking in persons , forced labor or killings where the bodies of victims are disposed of in public places.
That’s why we are asking you to join us to

It’s the 1st day of the 2022. We started it off quite well by taking the fight against a sexual abuser of minors and his enabler. We were alerted to a case of sexual defilement of a minor and quickly swung into action. It was in a different state from we are domiciled but we gotta moveeee! The alleged perp is a husband to the guardian of the minor who shepherds a church with her. He claimed that the Holy Spirit will not be impacted upon her except by pe*******on after he had forcefully defiled her once before 😢. He subsequently attempted it agin but his plan was foiled by the little son of the guardian who slept in the same room with the girl and stared at the man whenever he made the attempt. He also made sure that the minor could not speak about the incident to her bio mom by instructing to place the phone on speaker anytime she’s calling. This is the work of an evil man supported by his evil wife who claimed no knowledge of the act and then insisted her husband could not do such afterwards. The matter has been reported at a police station with the wife invited but the man is yet to be found. It is our collective job to ensure that Justice is gotten for the little girl. This is why we fight.
