Dr. Tshifularo, a South African surgeon, made history in 2019 by successfully performing the world's first surgical procedure using 3D-printed middle ear bones to restore hearing.
He successfully implanted 3D-printed middle ear bones in patients with hearing loss and restored hearing in patients with damaged or missing middle.
