A federal grand jury in Washington, D.C., has indicted Elias Rodriguez on multiple charges, including the murder of a foreign official, hate crimes, fi****ms offenses, first-degree murder, and assault with intent to kill. The charges stem from the recent shooting of Israeli Embassy staff members as they were leaving a reception at the Capital Jewish Museum (CJM).

Assistant Attorney General Harmeet K. Dhillon of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division and U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Ferris Pirro jointly announced the indictment.
“This Justice Department will not tolerate violence fueled by hatred based on faith or national origin,” said Dhillon. “We will enforce our federal civil rights laws to their fullest extent.”
