CP BAKORI RECEIVES BRIGADE COMMANDER, 3 BRIGADE NIGERIAN ARMY, MD DALA INLAND DRY PORT ON COURTESY VISITS
The Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, SFIPMA, MNIM, MNIPS, MASIS, on Wednesday, 24th June 2026, received two separate courtesy visits at the Command Headquarters, Bompai, Kano, in line with his commitment to interagency collaboration and stakeholder engagement for improved security and economic growth in the State.
1. Familiarization Visit by 3 Brigade, Nigerian Army
The Command received the newly posted Brigade Commander, 3 Brigade, Nigerian Army Kano, Brigadier General SA Jimoh, on a familiarization visit to the Command Headquarters.
During the visit, Brigadier General Jimoh commended CP Bakori for his dedication and proactive leadership in ensuring a safe and secure environment across Kano State. He stated that the purpose of his visit was to strengthen the existing cordial relationship and operational synergy between the Nigerian Army and the Nigeria Police Force in the State.
The Commanding Officer further emphasized that the Army remains committed to complementing the constitutional responsibilities of the Police, particularly in internal security operations. He expressed satisfaction with the high level of cooperation already existing among security agencies in Kano, describing it as impressive and worthy of sustenance.
In his response, the Commissioner of Police warmly welcomed the Commanding Officer and appreciated the unwavering support and collaboration of the military in maintaining peace and security. He noted that the joint efforts of the Police and military have been instrumental in addressing security challenges, especially in Shanono and Tsanyawa Local Government Areas. CP Bakori reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to strengthening inter-agency cooperation and sustaining the excellent working relationship with the Nigerian Army for the collective safety and benefit of the people of Kano State.
2. Courtesy Visit by Dala Inland Dry Port
In a separate engagement, the Commissioner of Police also received CC Dr. Dalha Wada Chedi, Rtd, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Dala Inland Dry Port, on a courtesy visit.
CC Dr. Chedi stated that the visit was aimed at strengthening synergy and deepening the working relationship between the Dala Inland Dry Port and the Kano State Police Command. He highlighted the importance of robust security architecture for the protection of critical infrastructure, logistics, personnel, and investments at the Port. He commended the CP for the Command’s proactive policing strategies and reaffirmed the Port’s commitment to collaborate with security agencies to ensure seamless operations.
Responding, CP Bakori welcomed the Managing Director and pledged the Command’s continuous support and cooperation for the growth, security, and progress of the Dala Inland Dry Port. He described the Port as a strategic economic asset to Kano State and Nigeria, and assured that the Command would sustain robust security arrangements to protect investments, cargo, and personnel. He further stressed that effective partnership between security agencies and stakeholders is critical to achieving a safe, business-friendly environment that attracts investment and drives economic development.
