Word of the Day Eps 9 In the episode we look at singular masculine word but can become feminine when something is added to it.

Word of the day in Arabic (Day 758).

سَرَيَان مَفْعُول(sarayān maf’ūl)

Meaning: taking effect, coming into force, enforce-ability, applicability.

Example:
شَوَارِعُ مَدِينَةِ كَدُونَا خَالِيَةٌ مَع بَدْءِ سَرَيَانِ مَفْعُولِ اَلْحَجْرِ اَلصِّحِّيِّ فِي اَلْوِلاَيَةِ.

The streets of Kaduna city are empty with the effect of the state's quarantine.

حُزْمَة (huzmah)

Meaning: package, pack, packet, parcel, bundle

Example:
هَلْ سَتُعْلِنُ وِلاَيَةُ كَدُونَا عَنْ حُزْمَةِ مُسَاعَدَاتٍ لِدَعْمِ الْفُقَرَاَءِ اَلّذِينَ بَقَوْا فِي مَنَازِلِهِمْ بِسَبَبِ اَلْإِغْلاَقِ اَلْكَامِلِ؟

Will Kaduna state announce a package of aid to support the poor who have remained in their homes because of the total lockdown?
