Redmond Tech Giant Microsoft To Acquire Tiktok

Amidst worrying threat by US president, Donal Trump to ban Chinese short clip video social media company Tiktok in the United States, Microsoft is set to aquire the Chinese American branch which include not just the US, but Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Surprisingly the UK is exempted even though the acquisition was tailored towards the English speaking countries in the world.

With more that 100 million monthly active users mainly the teenagers, the US government is particularly worried about the Chinese government having a gold mine of US citizens personal data like social security details, preferences, health details and many more confidential informations.

If the deal goes through, this is certainly going to put the Redmond giant in direct competition with YouTube and Facebook.

Ever since Satya Nadella took over as Microsoft CEO, the company's trajectory changed from just a software company to devices and services providing company with services like SaaS and IaaS where their cloud and container service the Azure replaced the MS Windows OS the company cash cow.

MS Azure is only second to Amazon AWS.

The company is desperately turning into consumer focused firm while still focusing on its enterprise forte where it's a king.
