On this day, Jos was thrown into chaos as a simple disagreement turned into one of the deadliest crises in Plateau State’s history. 💔

The violence, which began in Jos North, spread across the city leaving behind destruction, loss of lives, and scars that many Plateau people will never forget.

Before the crisis, Christians and Muslims lived like brothers and sisters. 🙏
👉 There was a mosque in Gada Biu and a church in Angwan Rogo (a Muslim-dominated area).
👉 Life was peaceful, businesses were thriving, and unity was the pride of Jos.

Sadly, many still see September 7, 2001 as the day Jos lost its peace.

But today, Jos North has moved past that dark stage. ✨
The city is peaceful again. Christians and Muslims now do business together, live side by side, and move freely without fear.

Peace is priceless. Let’s protect it, nurture it, and never take it for granted. 💯✅✅✅✅🙏🙏
