As part of our winding up activity for the project titled "Strengthening the Gender-based Violence Clubs in the 10 Secondary Schools of Jos North LGA of Plateau State and Capacity Building Workshop for Students, Teachers and Women Groups in Preventing and Responding to Gender-based Violence in Jos South LGA of Plateau State," INTERCEP has formally inaugurated GBV Clubs in 10 secondary schools in Jos South LGA of Plateau state.

These clubs were inaugurated as part of our efforts to curb the menace of GBV in schools and the society. The clubs are constituted of students who were earlier trained on the GBV as well as other students who indicate interest to join. The clubs in each of the schools will be headed by a teacher who will serve as our contact person who was also trained a few months back.

The students were encouraged to actively look out for cases of GBV and report to relevant authorities who will take appropriate actions to address it.

This action was implemented by INTERCEP, a sub-grantee of the Nigerian Women Trust Fund (NWTF).
