Cancer Prevention and Care Initiative - CPCI
11/06/2026
Yesterday, the Cancer Prevention and Care Initiative (CPCI) continued its Action for Cancer Prevention in Communities (ACPIN) outreach at African Child Schools, engaging students on cancer awareness, prevention, early detection, infection-related cancers, and healthy lifestyle choices.
Through interactive discussions and health education sessions, students were encouraged to understand the importance of informed health decisions, prevention practices, and seeking help early when health concerns arise.
At CPCI, we believe that prevention begins with awareness, and awareness begins with conversations. By taking health education directly into schools and communities, we are helping to build a generation that is better informed, more health-conscious, and empowered to make healthier choices.
We are grateful to the management, staff, and students of African Child Schools for welcoming us and actively participating in the session.
One school at a time. One community at a time. One conversation at a time.
Together, we are building healthier futures.

We join the global community in recognizing National Cancer Survivors Day and celebrating the strength, courage, and resilience of cancer survivors everywhere.
Every survivor's journey is a reminder that cancer is not only a story of diagnosis and treatment. It is also a story of hope, perseverance, support, and the possibility of life beyond cancer.
This year's theme, "Living Beyond Cancer: Survivorship, Support & System Strengthening," highlights an important truth: survivors need more than treatment alone. They need supportive families, communities, healthcare systems, and policies that help them thrive long after their cancer journey.
At CPCI, we celebrate every survivor and reaffirm our commitment to promoting awareness, supporting early detection, and advocating for stronger systems that improve outcomes for all.
To every survivor: your story matters, your strength inspires, and your journey gives hope.

Yesterday, we took another step toward a future where more people understand the importance of prevention, early detection, and informed health decisions.
The Cancer Prevention and Care Initiative (CPCI) was at Divine Success School, Jos, as part of the launch of our Action for Cancer Prevention in Communities (ACPIN) project.
During the session, students were engaged on cancer awareness, prevention, early detection, HPV awareness, infection-related cancers, and the role healthy choices play in reducing future health risks.
But beyond the information shared, the outreach was about something deeper.
It was about helping young people understand that prevention matters, and that early action can change outcomes.
For us, ACPIN is more than an outreach project. It is a commitment to taking cancer prevention and health education beyond hospitals and into the schools, communities, worship centres, and everyday spaces where people live and make decisions about their health.
We are grateful to the management, staff, and students of Divine Success School for welcoming us and participating actively in the session.
This is only the beginning.
One conversation.
One school.
One community at a time.
A new month brings new opportunities to make a difference.
At CPCI, we believe that prevention, awareness, and early action remain some of the most powerful tools in improving health outcomes and saving lives.
As we step into June, we renew our commitment to promoting cancer prevention, strengthening health education, encouraging early detection, and supporting healthier communities.
Every conversation matters.
Every awareness effort matters.
Every step toward prevention matters.
Welcome to June.
Here's to a month of impact, hope, and healthier futures.
