Ed Sheeran ran downstairs when he heard his guitar. Amy Wadge, his longtime friend who's also a singer/songwriter just played a few chords.

The chord got Ed's attention and he knew that magic was about to be created.

Around 2 am in his Kitchen, Ed and Amy wrote one of the greatest songs of all time - "Thinking Out Loud".

They wrote it in only 20 minutes and the next day, Ed Sheeran had recorded it.

The song kind of speaks where words of eternity in love may fail. Then, its rhythm sends the romantic feeling even where romance has not showed itself.

How can a song be this beautiful? Then, as we enjoy it, journalists claim it has similarities with Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On" (1973).

Whatever, they say, the song just never grows old. It feels like its release in 2014 was the actual beginning of a new era of an eternal song.
