Ilorin Emirate Multipurpose Pavilion: "It's God working through Governor AbdulRazaq"

“The pavilion that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq wants to construct in my palace, it is the Almighty God who directed him to do it. And he (the Governor) is someone who begins a project and completes it without wasting time.

The pavilion project will take a while before it is completed, and it will be done perfectly. I understand that this is the reason the Governor sent you to inform me that the project will be completed in eight months.

May the Almighty Allah not make our Governor someone who abandons projects. All the critical infrastructure he has been doing in the state, may they continue to impact the lives of the people and serve as references for good.

I thank the Almighty Allah that it is during my reign that these good things, which are beautifying our mosque and palace, are happening.

All of you sitting in front of me whom Governor AbdulRazaq has sent to me, may your relationship with him continue to blossom.

God is fully aware of the Governor’s intention, and He is pleased with it because his intention is good. May Allah answer his prayers and reward his kindness.

As for the workers, may you not encounter any work accident in the course of constructing the pavilion. The job you are engaged in here is a blessed one. As you step your feet into this place, ensure you make wishes, and they will come to pass.

VIDEO UPDATE ON REHABILITATED LAFIAGI WATERWORKS

Following recent claims that the Lafiagi Waterworks is not functional, the Ministry of Water Resources today, October 25, dispatched a team of engineers to the site with diesel to operate the facility.

This exercise was carried out to reaffirm the Ministry’s earlier position that the rehabilitation of the project has successfully been completed as announced in December 2024.

All pumps have been running non-stop for several hours today, with pumping still ongoing at the time of this report.

Relevant stakeholders and members of the Lafiagi community were also present at the waterworks to witness the smooth and continuous operation of the facility.

Water is expected to be released for public use as soon as the reservoir is filled up.

The Ministry, under the leadership of Hon. Usman Lade, has reiterated the commitment of HE Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led administration to finding sustainable solutions to the power challenge affecting the facility and ensuring uninterrupted water supply to the good people of Lafiagi and other communities across Kwara State.

The Ministry deeply appreciates the engagement on issues of governance, urging stakeholders to keep the conversations issues-based and focused on growth and mutual co-operation.
