What is PID?An infection of the female reproductive organs.

It usually occurs when s*xually transmitted bacteria spread from the va**na to the womb (uterus), fallopian tubes or ovaries.
Pelvic inflammatory disease is an infection of the uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries and cervix. Untreated pelvic inflammatory disease might cause scar tissue and collections of infected fluid (abscesses) to develop in your fallopian tubes and damage your reproductive organs.
SYMPTOMSRequires a medical diagnosis

Common symptoms include pelvic pain and fever. There may be va**nal discharge.

People may experience:

Pain areas: abdomen, can occur during s*xual in*******se, during urination, in the pelvis, lower back, or va**na

Whole body: chills, fatigue, or fever

Groin: cervical motion tenderness, va**nal discharge, or va**nal odour

Gastrointestinal: nausea or vomiting

Also common: cramping or painful menstruation sometime the symptoms didn't occur in men.
HOW IT SPREADS

By having unprotected va**nal, a**l, or oral s*x

TREATMENT
If it's diagnosed at an early stage, pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) can be treated easily and effectively with antibiotics. These can be prescribed by your GP or a doctor at a s*xual health clinic. But left untreated, it can lead to more serious long-term complications.
