Dr. Cyrielle Maingraud Martinaud of IFRA-Nigeria visited GIS Konsult Ltd.& GIS Academy with a team of researchers.
She is the Deputy Director of the Institut Français de Recherche en Afrique (IFRA-Nigeria). IFRA is one of the 27 Public Research Institutes under the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs based overseas. IFRA was set up to promote research in the social sciences and the humanities, as well as enhance collaborative work between scholars in France and Nigeria. First established in 1990, the Institute is operating from the University of Ibadan (Institute of African Studies).

IFRA-Nigeria started a new research programme on the digitisation on heritage in Nigeria and is presently running a project on the religious architectural heritage in Ibadan. GIS Konsult is providing Geographic Information Systems GIS Consultancy Service and Support for Digitising Religious Architectural Heritage in Ibadan City by IFRA-Nigeria.
