Eid is more than just new clothes, delicious food, and festive gatherings. It is a day of gratitude, reflection, and obedience to Allah. After the spiritual journey of Ramadan, Eid comes as a reward and a moment of joy wrapped in worship.

As Muslims, even our celebrations are guided, as beautifully taught by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , ensuring that our happiness remains meaningful and blessed.

With this in mind, the etiquettes of Eid include:

1. Performing ghusl before going out.

2. Wearing one’s best (modest) clothes.

3. Eating before the Eid prayer (for Eid al-Fitr).

4. Reciting the takbeer on the way to the prayer ground.

5. Attending the Eid prayer.

6. Taking different routes to and from the prayer ground.

7. Exchanging greetings and prayers, such as “Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum.”

8. Maintaining good character throughout the day.

9. Visiting family and strengthening ties.

Remember, Eid is not merely a celebration but an extension of our worship. Therefore, by observing these etiquettes, we elevate our joy into acts of devotion and ensure that our celebration remains pleasing to Allah.

Taqabballallahu minnaa wa minkum 🤲🤗

Sometimes we make du‘ā’ and wonder why the answer hasn’t come yet. But in Islam, every sincere supplication is heard and rewarded by Allah in ways we may not always see.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “There is no Muslim who supplicates to Allah with a supplication that contains no sin and no severing of family ties except that Allah gives him one of three things: either He hastens the response to his supplication, or He stores it for him in the Hereafter, or He averts from him a similar evil.” They (the companions) said: “Then we will increase in supplication.” The Prophet ﷺ replied: “Allah is greater (in giving).”

This means no du‘ā’ is wasted or lost. Every prayer you whisper in the night to Allah brings a response in one way or another.

So on these blessed nights, keep making du‘ā’ without hesitation. Ask Allah for forgiveness, mercy, guidance, and goodness in this life and the next.

While many sleep through the night, there are those who rise quietly, leaving the comfort of their beds to stand before their Lord. These are the moments when hearts are sincere and the connection with Allah is strongest.

Allah says: “Their sides forsake their beds; they call upon their Lord in fear and hope, and they spend out of what We have provided them.” (Qur’an 32:16)

This verse beautifully describes those who sacrifice their sleep to remember Allah by standing in prayer with fear of His punishment and hope in His mercy, while also giving from what He has blessed them with.

In these final nights of Ramadan, try to rise even for a few moments in the night. A sincere du‘ā’ and quiet remembrance can bring you closer to Allah than you imagine.

May Allah make us among those who stand in the night seeking His mercy and acceptance.

As the last ten nights of Ramadan unfold, every moment becomes more precious. These are the nights when the righteous push themselves harder in worship, seeking Allah’s mercy, forgiveness, and the blessing of Laylatul-Qadr.

Sufyan Ath-Thawri (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “When the last ten nights arrive, the righteous increase greatly in their efforts.”

These nights are not like the others. They are a chance to stand longer in prayer, make more du‘ā’, seek forgiveness from Allah, give charity, and remember Allah more than before.

Follow the example of the righteous by increasing your effort, strengthening your intention, and making the most of these blessed nights.

May Allah grant us the strength to worship Him sincerely and allow us to witness the blessings of Laylatul-Qadr.
