Dart Manipulation done by student.
Dart manipulation is the moving of dart from one position to another position while still maintaining the same fit for the block. The dart can be moved to any position on the block. Some of these positions include Underarm Dart: This position is a little below the Underarm Point(UP).
French Dart: This position is on the waistlevel of the side seam.
Centre front waist dart
Centre front bust dart
Centre front neck dart
Empire dart
Mid Neck Dart
Shoulder tip dart and many more.
The width of the dart increases or decreases as you move from one position to the other. But no matter the width it doesn't affect the fit of the garment.
