WAMBAN SHINKAFI TO ATTEND RECEPTION CEREMONY FOR GOVERNOR DAUDA LAWAL’S DEFECTON TO APC

As preparations intensify by the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the anticipated defection of the Governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal, from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC, a prominent APC chieftain in the state, Dr. Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi (Wamban Shinkafi), has confirmed his participation in the reception ceremony alongside his supporters.

In line with the ongoing arrangements, Dr. Shinkafi has directed the leader of Wamban Shinkafi political front Yushau Abdullahi Mada to coordinate logistics for the mobilization of supporters across all the fourteen (14) Local Government Areas of Zamfara State. This includes the provision of transportation to ensure the smooth conveyance of party loyalists to the event venue.

The reception is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at the Trade Fair Complex in Gusau. The event is expected to attract high-profile dignitaries, including the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, state governors, and other top government officials.

Dr. Shinkafi has called on all his supporters to remain calm, disciplined, and law-abiding throughout the event. He emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and strictly avoiding any form of violence or possession of weapons during the gathering.

He further congratulated Governor Dauda Lawal on his decision to join the APC, describing the move as a significant step toward strengthening the party and fostering unity, progress, and an end to internal political disputes within the party in the state.

Dr. Shinkafi concluded by praying for a peaceful and successful event and for the safe return of all attendees to their respective homes.
