It's first Sunday in Advent.

It reminds us of the birth of Jesus Christ and His second coming.

It's a season when we take time to reflect on our preparedness for His second coming while celebrating His first.

Unlike His first coming, the Lord Jesus is coming back to judge the living and the dead.

For the redeemed who will be raptured, we will stand before Him to give account of our stewardship.

Are you proud of how much you have multiplied what He gave you?

Nobody knows the hour; so, let's love ready!

[6] Zechariah and Elizabeth were righteous in God’s eyes, careful to obey all of the Lord’s commandments and regulations.

This testimony is about the husband and wife; not one of the spouse.

It's not about their public or private life; it's about their lives in general.

This is a good testimony to crave for; not just the amount a couple saved in foreign currency or property acquired.

May God help us pursue what really matters in Jesus name.

Stay Alert, Devil in Your Neighborhood
Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.1 Pet. 5:8 NLT

This call for alertness is because there is a danger and we can't afford to be sleeping.

So, wherever we are, we are to be on the alert and not be careless or too relaxed that the devil will swift us.

In our words, we should be on the alert so we don't give Satan words to destroy us. So, I can't say, I am finished in this country.

How can I be finished just because of the events in the nation when God has said he will never leave me nor forsake me? No way! I can't be finished until God is finished with me o!

In the thoughts we habour in our hearts, let's be on alert so that our hearts won't be fertile ground for the devil to grow all manner of evil actions.

So, we keep envy, jealousy, bitterness, greed and hatred away from my heart because when Satan find these seeds in a heart, he adds manure until he reaps a bountiful harvest of violence, oppression, murder and all manner of wickedness from the life of a man.

Wherever, we find ourselves, whether in public or private, among Christains or stark unbelievers we stay on the alert.

The guy is everywhere looking for who to destroy. So, we conduct ourselves in a manner pleasing to God knowing that God is everywhere. We don't give the devil a chance because although he uses unbelievers at will, a Judas among the children of God may yield himself to the devil as well.

At the trial of your faith, he will come to see what you will say about God. He can even use your closest people to ask you to curse God and die.

We are not careless with our words and we are steadfast in our faith; so we beat him to his game!

When God starts blessing you, he doesn't go on a break, he is still roaming hoping the blessing will enter your head so you will reject God.

We will never forget that it's the Lord God Almighty that's giving us power to make wealth, not our academics, high tech skill or connection. So, we return all the glory to the rightful owner, Baba God!

Take Away?

Satan is not going on retreat; so let's all be on the alert to ensure he doesn't succeed in derailing us away from the purpose of God into our selfish ambition or the purpose of the Devil.

May God help us to be on the alert, everywhere and everytime in Jesus name.

Who is Your Hero?

The GODLY people in the land are my true heroes! I take pleasure in them!Psa 16:3 NLT

As we grow up in life, we look up to some persons and in some cases admire them so much we want to be like them.


That's not entirely bad; but for the Psalmist, he qualified the kind of people that he makes his hero.


The godly people! He didn't choose the money bag, the famous or one with 5 million social media follower.

While none of these people are bad in themselves, if in addition to fame, power and money the person lacks godliness, David rejected that one ad a hero.

It's a call for you and I to reexamine our hearts for the public figure, movie character and politician we regard as OUR heros.
