I believe that nothing is more foundational to the Christian life than for the believer to understand his or her position in Christ Jesus.

Our position in Christ is our legal standing with God: Are we guilty or not guilty? Debtors or free? His enemies or His friends? Understanding these things makes a difference in how we live day in and day out.

In His goodness and by His grace, God changes our standing — our position — before Him when we place our trust in Christ for the forgiveness of our sins. Ephesians 2:7 affirms that our new status flows out of that wonderful phrase “the riches of God’s grace.”

October Touch (part 1)
Title : A DIFFERENT SPIRIT
"Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. Romans 12:14"
Devotion : The world believes in a tooth for a tooth and an eye for an eye; this means that the world believes in vengeance. However, the Christian is of a different Spirit; he is born into the light of God, which believes in forgiveness. The Christian is blessed and has been made to be a blessing (Ephesians 1:3). Therefore, cursing or uttering curses is not the nature of Christ and hence not the nature of the Christian. The Christian must live according to his or her nature. Jesus Christ acknowledged that we will be persecuted just as He was persecuted. All the persecutions are training tools to build our faith; therefore, instead of cursing our persecutors, we must bless them and rejoice to share in the sufferings of Christ. Dear beloved, are you being persecuted in any way? What are you doing to overcome it? Share your thoughts here!

......August Special.....(part2)

Title : EASY BATTLE
"Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you. 2 Chronicles 20:17"
Talk : There are different battles to fight as a child of God, but the good news is that it is not all these battles we should spend our time fighting. The opening scripture throws light on it; King Jehoshaphat was threatened by Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir. The LORD gave the king a strategy to raise singers to lead the king and his army to battle. When the singers began to worship God, God confounded the enemies to fight against themselves until they had destroyed themselves. The Christian is encouraged to develop a lifestyle of praise and worship so the Lord can fight for you. Our battles are easy because the battles are the LORD's and not ours. Dear reader, how do you find your battles? Share your thoughts here!
