I still maintain that France is the sole country that shows a sincere appreciation for Africa and its remarkable talents. France is uniquely positioned as the only European nation with a majority of its senior national team players of African descent, a circumstance that is undoubtedly commendable. If, however, these talented individuals were to represent their countries of origin, it is likely that the next World Cup would be claimed by an African nation, thus returning the title to its ancestral home.
