Nigeria 🇳🇬 has officially submitted a bid to host a Formula 1 Grand Prix in Abuja.

If approved, it would be the first F1 race in Nigeria and the first in Africa in over three decades.

Plans include a new circuit in Abuja, a karting track, hotels, and a motorsport museum.

F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali, Lewis Hamilton, and circuit designers have been invited for site visits.

The bid comes as Africa is being considered for a future F1 return.
