Today, we celebrate fathers, father figures, mentors, and guardians whose love, sacrifices, wisdom, and guidance help shape families, communities, and future generations.

We also remember and honor the fathers who are no longer with us. Though they may be gone, their values, lessons, and legacies continue to live on in the lives they touched.

To those celebrating with their fathers today, may your day be filled with joy and gratitude. To those remembering a father they have lost, may their memories bring comfort and strength.

We are deeply honoured to receive this Certificate of Recognition from the National Girls in ICT Competition 2026 in appreciation of our contribution to fostering innovation, nurturing digital talent, and empowering the next generation of innovators.

This recognition means so much to us because it represents more than a certificate—it represents the journey, sacrifice, sleepless nights, mentorship, teamwork, and belief in young people.

From mentoring over 30 girls from different schools, guiding them to develop practical solutions in education, health, agriculture , and inclusion, to seeing our students rise and proudly represent Bauchi State on the national stage—this journey has been truly inspiring.

What makes this even more special is knowing that many of these girls simply needed someone to believe in them, guide them, and give them a platform to shine.

We dedicate this recognition to:

When we began the Girls in ICT Competition 2026, we started with about 30 incredible girls from different schools across Bauchi State. These young minds were mentored, guided, and challenged to think differently—to identify real problems around them and build practical solutions.

And they did just that.

Some developed ideas around the education sector, tackling issues around access to quality learning. Others focused on health, communication, child safety, and social challenges affecting their communities. Together, these girls came up with brilliant, innovative, and meaningful ideas—many of which were developed into practical prototypes with mentorship and support.

What this experience taught us is simple:

Our girls are brilliant. Extremely brilliant.

The real challenge is not talent. The challenge is often the lack of platforms, opportunities, mentorship, and belief in what these young people can become.

What if the Government of Bauchi State intentionally invested more in platforms like this?
What if the ICT agencies and education stakeholders in the state supported innovation hubs, school-based tech programmes, and youth innovation challenges?

The truth is, many of the ideas these children developed are not just school projects. Some are real startup ideas capable of solving pressing problems in education, healthcare, communication, and inclusion. These are ideas that, with the right support, incubation, and investment, could become impactful solutions for our communities and even beyond.

Most importantly, many of the solutions focused on improving access to quality education, reminding us that sometimes, the people closest to the problems already carry the best ideas for solving them.

We must listen to our children.
We must create opportunities for them to shine.
We must invest in their ideas.

To the amazing girls who participated—thank you for inspiring us. You showed courage, intelligence, creativity, and resilience.

To the entire Zee Tech Foundation team—thank you. I still remember when we started, when each person was assigned a team to mentor. It was not an easy journey. There were challenges, long hours, sacrifices, and moments of uncertainty. But today, we are proud. We are happy. And we are grateful that together, we achieved something truly meaningful.

And now, we look forward to Girls in ICT 2027—bigger, stronger, and ready to impact even more girls.
