*‎CHAIRMAN ADEDEJI BAGS CIPRMP HONORARY DOCTORATE AWARD*
‎
‎The Executive Chairman of Bariga Local Council, *Hon. (Dr.) Adedeji Bukola Omope, FCPA*, has been conferred with a Professional Fellowship Doctorate in Strategic Leadership and Public Resources Management by the Chartered Institute of Public Resources Management and Politics (CIPRMP), Ghana.

‎The prestigious recognition was bestowed earlier today following the Institute’s extensive assessment of her exemplary leadership and impactful governance at the helm of Bariga Local Council.
‎
‎The award acknowledges her remarkable contributions in the areas of infrastructure development, youth empowerment, women empowerment, ICT training, and other aspects of governance.
‎
‎The Chartered Institute of Public Resources Management and Politics (CIPRMP), headquartered in Accra, Ghana, with a liaison office in Abuja, Nigeria, is an internationally recognized professional body committed to promoting ethical leadership, sustainable policy development, and effective public resource management across Africa. Established in 1995 and chartered in 2005, the Institute trains and certifies professionals in corporate governance, management, and political integrity.

‎This honour further underscores the widespread recognition of Hon. Adedeji’s outstanding achievements and transformative leadership in Bariga. Notably, she has become the first female Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Chairman in Lagos State to be inducted into the West African regional chartered institute.

‎In her acceptance speech, Hon. Adedeji expressed profound gratitude:
‎*“I am deeply honoured to receive this award. I appreciate CIPRMP and the people of Ghana for this recognition. This award is not just for me, but for the entire Bariga community, our political appointees, council staff, and the good people of Bariga who entrusted us with this mandate. It serves as a challenge for us to do even more, as the reward for hard work is more work.”*

‎The epoch-making event was witnessed by top council officials, including the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Alhaji Suri Kareem Adebayo; Councillors such as Hon. Oluseun Onakoya, Hon. Surajudeen Oloko, and Hon. Ogbere Tina; as well as Hon. Omotayo Ewuosho (Special Adviser on Environment, Canal Drainage and Waste Management), Otunba Gboyega Adefuwa (Supervisor for Health), Mr. Tunde Akere (Special Adviser on ICT and Innovation), Hon. Danmole Ogunsanya (Special Adviser on Revenue), Hon. Sodiq Olatayo (Supervisor for Environment), the Council Manager, Otunba Lai Giwa, Heads of Departments (HODs), Heads of Units (HOUs), and members of staff.

‎This recognition marks yet another milestone in Hon. Adedeji’s continued commitment to excellence, service delivery, and people-oriented governance in Bariga Local Council.
