TOPIC:Unbelieve .
TEXT: Luke 1:11-19
And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years. Luke 1:18
A man can lose a lot of things In life and ministry just as a result of unbelieve. It is very dangerous to doubt the word of the Lord.
Zechariah refused to believe the report of Angel Gabriel because of his present state. The Angel who carried the message of victory and deliverance said to him.
"Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John".Now the response of Zechariah shows to us how he refused to believe the answer to his long awaiting prayers.
"And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years". See the response of the Angel to Zechariah's unbelieve shows how the Angel wanted to convinced him.
"And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings".
Zachariah persisted in unbelieve seeing how impossible this sound.
Many people lost their faith when answers to their prayers prolong. This has made many believers' expectations to cut short. Unbelieve is like a virus that has eaten up many believers faith.
I encourage you to trust God when waiting for God's promises.
