Happy Democracy Day: Engineering Economic Freedom for the Girl Child 🇳🇬🛠️
True democracy thrives when every citizen has the power, tools, and equal rights to secure a prosperous future.
At the Lady Mechanic Initiative (LMI), we believe that economic liberation is the bedrock of democracy. For over three decades, we have dedicated ourselves to breaking down gender walls in heavy industry transforming vulnerability into elite technical mastery.
When we empower a young woman with advanced automotive engineering skills, we aren't just giving her a job; we are giving her independence, a voice, and a sustainable livelihood. We are giving her the ultimate freedom to build her own future and contribute to our national GDP.
Today, we celebrate the resilient spirit of Nigeria, our trailblazing graduates, and every citizen building a more inclusive, industrious nation from the workshop floor up.
🔧 Happy Democracy Day from all of us at the Lady Mechanic Academy!

32 Years of Engineering Change: More Than Just a Workshop. 🛠️✨
When people hear about the Lady Mechanic Initiative (LMI), they often think of a garage. But over the last three decades, we have built a structured, multi-dimensional ecosystem designed to completely dismantle gender barriers in Africa’s heavy industrial sectors.
Our impact operates across three core pillars:
⚙️ The Advanced Technical Academy: Our flagship intensive apprenticeship program turning marginalized women into elite, certified automotive engineers.
📚 The Next-Gen After School Club: Catching them early by launching technical training tracks in junior high schools to spark early STEM career paths.
🌍 Institutional Advocacy: Working at the policy level to consult on regional vocational standards and advocate for female leadership in heavy industry.
We aren't just fixing cars; we are engineering sustainable socio-economic liberation.
